Part Time Museum Coordinator
Murray County is taking applications for a part-time Museum Coordinator. This position is 30 hours per week.
This position works under the supervision of the County Administrator. The position is responsible for the development, execution, and management of the policies, programs, and initiatives of the Murray County Museums as determined by the County Board and Historical Society Board in the mission of preserving Murray County history.
Qualifications: Minimum of a High School diploma/GED and associate degree in related field and two years’ experience in museum work or education in related field, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge and abilities for this position. Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications: Supervision experience and building maintenance experience.
Salary Range: $22.56– $29.33 per hour

Job Description
Murray County is taking applications for a full-time License Center Supervisor. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Duties include but not limited to: This position provides service to the public by accurately processing and reporting transactions related to Driver’s License, Motor Vehicle Titles, Plates, Game and Fish Licenses, Boat, Snowmobile and ATV Registrations. Responsible for maintaining inventory supply records. This position manages the county’s License Center.
Qualifications: High School diploma/GED and three years of prior office experience and customer service. Valid MN Driver’s License.
Desired Qualifications: Supervisory experience and clerical experience in government.
Requirements: Must be able to work with others in a team environment and to communicate effectively with members of the public, and officials or employees from other organizations and departments; must be registered as a notary; ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and make non-routine decisions within established precedents considering Department objectives; ability to learn web-based DVS program as well as MN DNR computer program.
Salary Range: $21.28 - $27.67 per hour

Job Description
Murray County is taking applications for a full-time Deputy Sheriff. Hours are a combination of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The purpose of this position is to protect life and property in Murray County and to enforce City Ordinances, County, State and Federal Laws. Duties include but are not limited to investigating criminal activity; interviewing victims, interrogating suspects; writing reports; responding to accidents; civil process; prisoner transport; evidence collection; serving warrants; executing of court orders; responding to law enforcement related calls and assist the County Sheriff.
Qualifications: Minimum of a High School diploma/GED and two-year degree in law enforcement or related field.
Requirements:
- Must be licensed by the Minnesota Peace Officers Standards and Training Board and attend at least 48 hours continuing education every three years;
- Valid MN Driver’s License;
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations;
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals;
- Ability to use leadership skills, to verbalize orders/commands so that the public and staff understand exactly what is being said and expected;
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
- Must have received Bureau of Criminal Apprehension CJIS certification within one year of date of hire.
Salary Range: $26.87 - $34.93 per hour
